  • Who created Campus Exclusive and why?
    Campus Exclusive was created by two recent college grads that understand the struggles that students face. We set out on a mission to become the only FREE site on the Internet that combines both student discounts and services, so that students could live cheaper and easier lives. With that in mind, we approached company after company negotiating exclusive discounts on the items we felt students spend the majority of their money on like books, cell phones and computers. We also developed a number of functions on the site to simplify the day-to-day... a custom classifieds platform so students can trade books, find roommates, post events, etc and a nationwide database of internships so students can build their resumes before they graduate.   • Is it really free to be a member?
    Yes. Registering for the site and gaining access to all of our great discounts and services won't cost you a penny.
  • What should I do if I cannot view the emails that are sent by Campus Exclusive?
    Campus Exclusive's emails contain images and Internet content that may be hidden by some email programs. Check with your campus email support and ask them how to display emails containing images and web content. For those of you using the following web based email applications here are some suggestions:
    Gmail Once you open our email, select the "always display images from xxx@campusexclusive.com" option under the email subject.
    Hotmail Select Options, then Mail, then Mail Display Settings and make sure that "Display Internet content" is selected.
    Yahoo Select General Preferences on the Options page and make sure that the "Block HTML graphics in email messages from being downloaded" option is not selected.
    AOL When opening our email, click "Yes" when asked if you know who sent you this email.
    If you're not finding our emails in your inbox then check your email account's spam folder to make sure our emails aren't ending up in there. If you find them in there then add our email address to your contacts list to avoid this problem in the future. Otherwise, send us an email to and we'll help resolve the issue.

Registration:
  • How do I register to become a member?
    Creating an account is easy. Simply click here and follow the steps to create an account. We suggest that you add no-reply@campusexclusive.com to your email account's contact list to ensure you receive our registration email.
  • Do I have to currently be in school to become a member?
    Yes. You must be a current high school or college student to qualify for membership. This is mandatory because some of the discounts available through the site are only authorized for students (we're not authorized to offer these prices to the general public). The easiest way to register for an account is with a campus email address (yyyy@xxx.edu). If you have one of these then you don't need to send us any other proof that you're a student. If you don't have one of these, then please see the next question.
  • How do I register for an account if my school doesn't provide campus email addresses that look like yyyy@xxx.edu?
    Simple begin registration and select the, "I do not have a .edu email address" option. To prove that you're currently a student, you can either upload your verification forms directly to the site or fax them to us. We suggest that you upload your forms because doing so will typically result in a faster response from our staff. If you don't have a scanner, any easy way to upload your student proof is to take a picture of your student id or other forms with a digital camera and then upload the pictures to our site.
  • What should I do if I successfully completed registration but never received a confirmation email?
    First, check your email account's spam folder to make sure our email didn't end up in there. If you deleted our email by accident or never received one, send us an email to and we'll help you get started. If you uploaded your forms to the site or faxed them to us, please allow up to 48 hours for our team to review your materials and send you a response (don't worry, we usually respond much faster than that). If you have not yet registered for the site, we suggest you add no-reply@campusexclusive.com to your email account's contact list to make sure our email isn't picked up by your spam folder.
  • What if the link in my registration email isn't working?
    First try to copy and paste the link into your Internet browser. If that doesn't work, forward your registration email to and we'll help you resolve the issue.
  • What should I do if the fax number that was provided during registration isn't working properly?
    First, check to make sure you're sending the fax to the correct fax number. Next, check to make sure that your fax machine is turned on and that it's operating properly (try sending a fax to someone else and see if that works). If your fax machine is working properly then please send us an email to and we will contact you as soon as we fix the problem.
  • Why is it necessary that I provide personal information about myself during registration?
    The primary reason we ask for detailed information is so that we'll have a better understanding of who is using the site. With this information, we can customize our discounts and develop new services that will better cater to our member base. We may also use this information to send you special deals that we've negotiated that we think you'll be excited about. For example, if you're majoring in business then we know what types of discounts to notify you about and which ones you probably won't find useful. Most importantly, we'll never sell your information to a third party (see our Privacy Policy for more detail).

Saving money:
  • Why are some discounts only available to Campus Promoters?
    As a little incentive to become a Campus Promoter, we've made some of our discounts only available to this group of members. Lucky for you, becoming a Campus Promoter is absolutely free and doesn't mean that you ever have to complete any of our suggested projects. Once you become a Campus Promoter you'll be able to view our different money-making options as well as gain access to additional discounts.
  • What should I do if I'm having difficulty accessing one of the discounts?
    If there is a problem with the Campus Exclusive site, then please send us an email to with a detailed description of the problem. If there is a problem with one of our affiliate's websites, we suggest that you wait a day or so to see if they fix the problem. If the problem persists, send us an email to the address above and we'll be happy to look into it.
  • What if I've signed up for a discount on my existing cell phone service but don't see the discount applied to my monthly statement?
    Once you successfully sign up for this discount it may take up to 60 days before you will begin receiving the discount on your monthly cell phone service. If the discount doesn't appear on your bill after more than 2 billing cycles, send us an email with all of the necessary information to and we'll look into the problem for you.
  • What is the return policy and warranty for products purchased on the site?
    This information can typically be found on the individual discount pages in the Save Money section. For additional information regarding our Terms of Sale, please see our Terms and Conditions.
  • Who should I contact if my company is interested in participating in the Campus Exclusive Discount Program?
    Please send us an email to with your company information and we'll contact you to discuss the details of our program. As any of our vendors will tell you, Campus Exclusive's Discount Program is one of the most cost effective solutions to reach the student demographic. Your company will raise brand awareness, generate incremental sales and gain lifelong customers. Here's a sample of our existing partners: Tumi, Lenovo, Pearson Education, Brooks Brothers, Dell... and many more.

Making money:
  • What is a Campus Promoter?
    A Campus Promoter is member of our site that is interested in earning money by taking on one of our suggested projects. Campus Promoters are automatically granted access to a variety of on-campus projects to choose from which can be completed at any time. In addition to these options for earning money, Campus Promoters also benefit from access to additional discounts available through the Save Money section. Becoming a Campus Promoter is absolutely free and never requires that any projects are completed. To become a Campus Promoter simply log in to Campus Exclusive and access the Make Money section of the site.
    Once you become a member Campus Exclusive, signing up as a Campus Promoter only takes 1 second and will give you access to a number of options to choose from to make money. There are never any commitments for you to do any work... signing up as a Campus Promoter is absolutely free and simply means that you become one of our on-campus employees and allows you to view the different money-making options. Signing up to become a Campus Promoter will also give you access to many more amazing discounts. There's no reason not to sign up.
  • How will I be paid for the projects that I complete as a Campus Promoter?
    Campus Promoters will be paid through PayPal. If you don't already have a PayPal account, setting one up only takes a few seconds and can be done on the PayPal.com site by clicking here. More specific detail regarding the payment process can be found in the Make Money section of the site.
  • Why is the status of my commission payment "pending"?
    If the status of your commission is "pending" then we have sent you a PayPal payment but you have not yet accepted it. All payments that we send our Campus Promoters go to the personal email address that we have on file for you, so please make sure you've added this address to your PayPal account. If you don't already have a PayPal account, setting one up only takes a few seconds and can be done on the PayPal.com site by clicking here.
  • Why is the status of my commission payment "unpaid"?
    If the status of your commission is "unpaid" then we have not yet sent you your payment. Don't worry if you see this message... we will send your payment within the amount of time specified in the Make Money section of the site.
  • Why doesn't my school have access to the Tumi discount?
    We're currently offering student-only pricing on Tumi products on more than 100 campuses across the country and this number is constantly expanding. If you'd like to have the Tumi discount at your school, send us an email to and we'll do our best to have it added.

Campus Exchange:
  • Can I post a listing in any Campus Exchange category?
    Yes. As a member of the site, you can post and view ads in any category that we have listed.
  • How do I edit or remove a listing that I've posted in Campus Exchange?
    In order to edit or remove a listing that you've posted, go to your My Account section and then select the My Listings section. From this page you can manage the listings that you've posted.
  • Can I view and post listings at schools that I don't attend?
    Yes. To post or view listings at another school, simply select the "select another school" link from the Campus Exchange homepage.
  • What if I'd like to suggest a new category for this section?

Internships:
  • Can I apply to an internship through the Campus Exclusive site?
    No. All applications must be submitted directly to employers using the contact information that is provided with each listing.
  • What is the bookmarking feature used for?
    We've added a bookmarking option to make it simple for you to keep track of the internships that you're interested in. If you see an internship listing that you like, simply click the "Bookmark this Internship" link and it will be added to the My Internships section of your account.
  • How do employers post internship opportunities on the Campus Exclusive site?
    If you're an employer and would like to post an internship on the Campus Exclusive site, please go to the Employer Site and create a free account in seconds.
